Cork, Blarney Stones, Castles, Wool Shops

This morning, early, we boarded a train to head out to Cork. This is where you find the Blarney Castle and the famous “Stone of Eloquence“.

Challenging day.. from 6:30 AM – 9:00 PM… the train had 1 1/2 hour delay and then made stops for other trains – 2 hours in the day gone… We still enjoyed the day – and must give many thanks to the hard working folks at Railway Tours of Ireland for their hard work and commitment to overcome this uncontrollable delay. In particular, our tour guide – Jonathan Beaumont, kept to his plan to show a few sites not mentioned in the tour and tried to accommodate everyone. Paired with his passion for the Irish people and the historical sites, he made this special. The Blarney Castle, Cork and The English Market as well as St. Colman’s Cathedral … all great experiences.
