About

On 11-August-1979, David Russell Robbins was fortunate enough to marry Sara Lee Robbins. The ceremony took place in Cape Coral, Florida at the 1st Presbyterian Church. The reception was held at Sara’s aunts, Lorraine Pentiuk, home in Cape Coral.

This trip is a celebration.

It celebrates the love we have for each other, the immediacy and depth of the love we found – at first sight in 1977, the journey that took place after, the wonderful and beautiful children that we are so proud of and the grandchildren that are now arriving and continuing to experience the pure love that endures in our family.

We will also celebrate our heritage.

Having been hoped on family ancestry for a number of years now, we also have strong evidence that our heritage lies largely in Ireland. Dave’s great grandmother emigrated to the US in 1888, at the age of 2 from just outside of Belfast. Her journey must have been tough – crossing the atlantic with family members – not her parents – and making her way. Sara’s paternal family have some obvious Irish names – Mackey, MCallister and Finn and hail from the Wicklow area – just south of Dublin

On this trip, we will visit these areas and take a peak at our origins.

We will be posting to this site daily….
